St. Vincent DePaul Appeal

Dear Friends,

In spite of the joyful spirit of this holiday season many people become frustrated as they rush around to buy the “perfect gift” for everyone on their Christmas list. There are many reasons for this annual ritual, but in the end we all discover that the best gift is the one that actually helps someone in genuine need….like the people we serve at the St. Vincent DePaul Mission.

The Mission serves the needs of the poor in Waterbury and the surrounding 17 towns. Homeless people come to the shelter, hungry people to the soup kitchen and food pantry. People in need of material items come to the thrift store. Adults with a mental disability seek assistance through the services we offer and the working poor can find housing in our affordable housing apartments. These good works can only happen through your compassion and generosity. So, once again, we must come to you, who have so faithfully supported the Mission and the wonderful work it does for the poorest among us in the Greater Waterbury region, and ask for your financial support.

Not only at the holiday season, but throughout the year, giving to people in need will bring you a level of satisfaction, gratification and an assurance that your “perfect gift” is really making a difference in someone’s life. At the St. Vincent DePaul Mission we bring your gift of caring to the poor.

Please, will you help us continue this important work?

You may either use the button marked “Donate” on our website or click here for an easy and secure tax deductable donation or mail your donation in the enclosed envelope.

May the Spirit of the Holiday Season bring joy to your heart and happiness to your home!

Thank you for your generosity.
